Best Braised Chicken with Pears Recipe

- 4-6 Whole chicken legs and/or chicken thighs
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1 cup Orange juice
- 1 tsp Curry Powder
- 1/2 cup Honey (the secret ingredient)
- 2 tbsp Fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp Salt
- 4-5 Fresh Bartlett pears or red anjou pears sliced in half, cored, and stems removed

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and place an oven-safe pan in the lower third of the oven.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the chicken legs breast side down and braise for several minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from pan.
Prepare the spice mixture by mixing orange juice, honey, lemon juice, curry powder, and salt in a small bowl until it reaches the consistency of a thick vinaigrette able to be poured over the chicken.
Season the chicken with salt and black pepper and transfer it to a roasting dish.
